Directions to Willow Springs International Raceway

Willow Springs is just outside of Rosamond in Southern California's picturesque Mojave Desert. From Los Angeles, hop on I-5 North to CA-14 North, and then take the exit at Rosamond Blvd. Head West, and you'll have ample gas station and food options on the way to the track. Once you're headed down the road, you'll see a big sign on the right telling you you've arrived at Willow Springs International Raceway—don't turn too soon, wait until you reach the big sign. Proceed to the gate to check-in with the track, and please have cash handy for its gate fee of $20. From there, go straight and take a slight right, and you'll be in the general hot pit area for the main track, Big Willow, also known as the Big Track. Find a spot to park and kick off the day.

Lodging and Food near Willow Springs International Raceway

The diner at Willow Springs has a lot of excellent burger and sandwich options, with a full stock of soda, energy drinks, water, and coffee. Conveniently, it sits along the front straight of the main track.

Rosamond

This quaint high desert town has a lot of charm. When it comes to food, there are several grocery stores, a Starbucks, multiple gas stations, and a handful fast food chains. There are also plenty of reasonably priced sit-down establishments, including Roberto's, Tacos el Llano, Guido's at the Hangar, Patty's Cafe, and Tom's Famous Burgers 28. There may or may not be enough time to enjoy these mom-and-pop spots in between track sessions, but they're great to check out if you're looking for dinner on the way out of town or staying the night.

Lodging-wise, the Devonshire Inn Motel is on the East side of CA-14, as is the Rosamond Palms Hotel.

Lancaster

Lancaster is about 25 minutes South of the track and your best bet if you're looking for more hotel options. Pretty much every chain has a location, and we've enjoyed staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites, as well as the TownePlace Suites and Homewood Suites.

The greater Lancaster area has food options of every variety; fast food, a nice steak, pizza, Korean BBQ, vegan, sushi—there's something for everyone.
