Information on Chuckwalla Valley Raceway
Chuckwalla Valley Raceway is located in the middle of the scenic Colorado Desert in Desert Center, California, East of Joshua Tree National Park and about an hour West of Blythe, California. Opened in 2010, its layout in is immensely fun whether run in the clockwise or counter-clockwise direction, with elevation changes, lots of grip, a bowl, big sweepers, and smooth curbing for easy reference. We'd say its one of the Southwest's most beloved and roller-coaster-like tracks.
Chuckwalla is definitely worth the drive from Los Angeles, Ventura, and Orange Counties, as well as from the Greater Las Vegas and Phoenix areas.

Lodging and Food near Chuckwalla Valley Raceway
While Desert Center is quite scenic, it's also quite desolate. Luckily, there's a good number of cabins available for rent at the track, but be sure to book ASAP as they fill up fast before event weekends. When it comes to food options, the track's food window is open for breakfast and lunch, and there are snacks available at the office at the facility's entrance.
Gas pumps are on location, otherwise the closest option is the Chiriaco Summit service station, 20 minutes West of Desert Center on I-10.
Indio and Palm Springs
Because Desert Center is pretty out there, the closest major metropolitan area is Indio and Palm Springs, 45-50 minutes West on I-10. Here, you'll find a wide variety of dining options, from fast food to any other fare you might fancy. There are also ample gas stations right off I-10, several Starbucks locations, and pretty much every hotel chain.
